Further experimentation with geometric

I have continued with my experimentation with geometric patterns in my art.  It has been interesting and a little fun.  organic-geometric

I  just completed this piece called Organic Geometric.  I attempted to mix my organic style with geometric patterns. The subject is is based on items found in the garden – ferns, flowers and wood.  I decided to use different sized pieces of small branches from my own garden to create a pattern down one side of the artwork.  This I did by dipping the ends of the twigs into the paint and then stamping them onto the canvas. The resulting orange circles show the growth rings inside each of the branches, which I felt made a nice touch.

I found I had to hold my self back to ensure that my organic style of painting did not take over the geometric patterns however I am quite pleased with the end result.

I will definitely continue to include geometric patterns in future work.

Very good news, I have my very own webpage.

Hi everyone, I am very excited to announce that I finally have my very own webpage – bianchiart.com.au  – I am very excited.

It has taken me a while to take action about a webpage.  It was always something that I intended to do and knew that I would eventually get around to it but there was always another painting to do, or another project to finish.

However, I must thank my very good friend, Joadi for offering her enthusiasm and encouragement and she finally motivated me into action.

This webpage will allow me to show my friends from around the world some of my latest work and what I have been up to  and working on and it has enabled me to set up an on-line shop which will make it possible for people to purchase a piece of original work or a limited edition print.

Like all artists,I paint because I have a need to paint and have always had the motivation to do so.  Once I have finished a piece of art, I am finished with it and can’t wait to move on to the next one.  So I put my art out there with the hope that someone will ‘adopt’ it.  So when someone buys a piece, I am grateful and glad that it is appreciated and has found a happy home and  when I make a sale I am energised to replace and create.  I get so excited that I can hardly sleep and I need to start painting again.
