Surfing at Laceys

Painted on Board

40 x 40cm x 2cm

I walk the beach at Lacey’s next door to the mouth of Currumbin Creek each day and I love to watch the surfers catching their waves.  Alongside Currumbin Creek, Lacey’s is a popular spot for serious surfers.

Painted in oil with cold wax medium on a cradled board. This is another piece in my Smaller Art Collection. I create these small pieces for those homeowners who do not have wall space for large pieces of art.  I believe everyone should live with art, I hope these small pieces enable them to live with art in their home.

Inspirational and Positive Posters – new growing trend.

In today’s busy world it seems that Inspirational and/or Positive Posters are a new growing trend as a method of self-help. Inspirational posters are very much here to stay as a daily tool for happiness. It makes sense because in today’s non-stop, hyper-active world and it’s often hard to find time to read an inspirational self- help-book — but you can always find time to read an inspirational poster.

There are many ways we can change negative thoughts and self-criticism to more realistic and positive thoughts. Focusing on all of them at once may be overwhelming, but focusing on a few at a time and reminding ourselves of these positive approaches regularly can change our self-esteem.

To this end I have now added Inspirational Quotes superimposed on my art as a downloadable print.  A downloadable print enables people to have their chosen image printed in any size and on any medium – such as heavy-duty watercolour paper, canvas or paper.  They can also print the image more than once.

I list here some Positive Thought Strategies that we should always try to embrace in our daily lives:

Accentuate the positive.

Accept flaws and being human.

Accept imperfections.

Replace criticism with encouragement.

Don’t feel guilty about things beyond your control.

Don’t feel responsible for everything.

Do feel responsible for your feelings.

Treat yourself kindly.

Give yourself a break.

Choose the brighter side of things.

Forgive and forget.

Focus on what you CAN do, not what you can’t.

Using just one or two of these strategies on a regular basis can greatly increase your positive self-image and self-esteem.

Dangers of Swimming at Night

I live by the ocean and the inspiration for this poem and painting was an article in the local paper about a tourist to the Gold Coast who went swimming late one night after a celebratory night-out in Surfers Paradise.

It is important to always respect the ocean both during the day and at night.

The Dangers of swimming at night

Dangers of swimming at night.

An ocean is a world of its own

A mystery, an unknown zone

Wonder at its undiscovered depths

Respect and love its strength.

The ocean gives , the ocean takes

Upon shores its endless waves break

We sail upon, we fish, we play

Sun shines on blue throughout  the day.

At night, we swim for fun

No fear,  let  inhibitions run

Who cares what lurks beneath,

Way down, down in the deep.

However danger goes before.

Check who’s watching the shore

Swim in close don’t go too far

The Fat Cats rule!

FFat Catsat Cats – They call the tune.

Big Brother entices us, pulls our strings

We need new clothes, need more of those

A Large TV ; sounds good to me.

Pay your tax – no time to relax

Spend more than you earn -will we ever learn?

Put your money in shares,

Stop! Who cares!

A challenge to write a Poem about Love

This challenge was put out by a fellow blogger, Marlyn Exconde.  So I thought I would give it a try.

The poem had to be no more than 10 lines.  Each line had to contain only 4 words and each line heart_of_love_201813had to have the word ‘love’ in it.

Can you rise to the challenge?  Please try yourself and send in your poem.

Anyway – here is mine.

Love, how many ways.

 Love of beauty fair

 Children’s love- beyond compare

Love a wondrous emotion

Animal love unending devotion

Love thy Neighbours –  feat

Food, love to eat!

Love of money – weakness.

Love fellow man- greatness.

Love is human kindness.

Very good news, I have my very own webpage.

Hi everyone, I am very excited to announce that I finally have my very own webpage – bianchiart.com.au  – I am very excited.

It has taken me a while to take action about a webpage.  It was always something that I intended to do and knew that I would eventually get around to it but there was always another painting to do, or another project to finish.

However, I must thank my very good friend, Joadi for offering her enthusiasm and encouragement and she finally motivated me into action.

This webpage will allow me to show my friends from around the world some of my latest work and what I have been up to  and working on and it has enabled me to set up an on-line shop which will make it possible for people to purchase a piece of original work or a limited edition print.

Like all artists,I paint because I have a need to paint and have always had the motivation to do so.  Once I have finished a piece of art, I am finished with it and can’t wait to move on to the next one.  So I put my art out there with the hope that someone will ‘adopt’ it.  So when someone buys a piece, I am grateful and glad that it is appreciated and has found a happy home and  when I make a sale I am energised to replace and create.  I get so excited that I can hardly sleep and I need to start painting again.

Please feel free to browse my new web page.  I would love to receive your feedback.
